Had a couple of silicone to take back. Went yesterday & the Paki on the till said ones been opened. It wasn’t opened as it’s been sat in my van for a week.
The argument commenced & the manager came over & said it’s not been opened.
I’ve fucked Wickes off now. Goodbye.

My local Wickes was ok for certain things, but plumbing stuff was laughably steep. Was busy with trades when it opened several decades ago, but since then Screwfix, Toolstation and B&Q with Tradepoint (what a load of shite that is) plus other builders' merchants have opened in the area.
Last few years you had to avoid the tumbleweeds blowing through the aisles in my local Wickes and couple of years ago they threw in the towel. Don't know how that branch held on so long as usually more staff than customers. Still sometimes order their rads online as they are good and can always rely on the delivery. Other than that, not sure what Wickes are for any more.

What made her think it was open ? Very odd.
I get timber, plaster and sometimes aggregates from there mostly. Plus sometimes they surprise me like when I needed a 125mm diamond hole saw they were cheapest at the time by some way.
Did have trouble once with a stuck up checkout girl chatting to her mate, totally ignoring me half way through getting served. I complained online, got a grovelling apology and since then they've been as friendly as can be.
