Don’t see why not. Wrap some PTFE tape on the Gland & refit the nut👍
Even on O Rings a wrap of tape can cure a leak👍

If I'm repairing something that has a worn out O-ring that I can't match up, I take the O-ring off and put a wrap of PTFE in the grove it sits in and then put the O-ring back. This bulks it back out enough to stop the item passing by water. Works 99.9% of the time.  |
