Can any help me out with this fitting please?
It’s going onto 40mm copper waste on the compression end. The other end I’m not sure of, the old pipe just pulled out easily. I thought it was solvent welded in. It might have had ptfe on it. Very old. Should I glue it? Silicone it? I’ve never seen it.
Cheers all

Looks like that coupler is push fit on left and compression on right, Rocky. I would replace it with a 40mm compression version. Will fit onto the copper and any 40mm plastic pipe.
Nice bit of copper waste. Good little earner at weigh in.

Yes. It feels like push fit.
Compression is the way to go I think.
Cheers for that.

I’ll get a compression fitting tomorrow. I’ll then go solvent weld from there as I prefer it.
Cheers all
