Hi guys,
I'm having problems with the DHW on my Biasi M96.28SM/C2 combi boiler. I've just watched a video posted by Tomplum on You Tube which mirrors my problem.
In the video it suggests changing the diverter valve diaphram.
The boiler in the video is a Baxi. Question is, can I use the same method to change the diaphram in my boiler ie turn off the cold feed and empty the DHW from the boiler by opening the hot tap or do I have to close the circs and drain down the boilers primary circuit.

hi big Aich, No your boiler works in a differant way, I think your has a water flow valve that sences the flowing water and turns on the hot water side of the boiler,

I'm not sure about that Big Aich. I've never worked on one of those but, I'd guess the flow switch will be on the cold side on the feed pipe, just turning off the cold feed will probably enough but, releiving the pressure will be playing safe,

Don’t be daft big man, you’ll flood your gaff. You don’t know what you’re doing and a DaftyDIYer shouldn’t remove the casing from a boiler, unless they’re Gas Safe registered. Stand back, get on the blower & open your wallet 💷💷💷💷💷💷

Big Aitch, Its not a derogatory term Dick says as it is, We'll help you all we can but, DIY ing to save money can, and sometimes does cost more in the long run, Its your call mate Take my video you watched, later on I did another video on the same boiler because another component failed, So I'd changed the diaphrom , later on changed the whole diverter then later on still the gas valve failed, At that point I realized i was chucking good money at a worn out boiler, So I put a new boiler in, I should have done that in the first place but, like you went for a cheap fix, In my defence, I probably would do the same again,,,  |
