I went to have a shower this morning, nice & hot then Freezing.
Nightmare
Heating was ok. Looked at boiler & making a funny sound.
Poured a few boiling kettles of water over the condensation pipe outside & I think it’s done the trick.
Hopefully saved myself a few quid
I need the boiler working like a dream for another 10 odd days & then it’s down to the new owners
Cheers all

I've also been struggling with a heating not working that started right at the beginning of this cold snap. Turns out the feeds blocked with magnite....but why did it work for so long then suddenly give up at the start of this cold snap? I gave the pipework a good rattle and turned the pump up to speed 3 and got it going for the time being (future job). "Mr Sod" continues to be a plague for all hard working plumbers!

The condensate is still 21mm. I’ve only got another week here then I’m moving so no chance of me spending anything on this gaff.

Not to worry it's not my own duo tech system. In fact it's at the "mother in laws" house and a relic from the past - it's a Baxi gas fired back boiler along with an early fully pumped system!
She's too old to cope with all the mess of a conversion nowadays so I'll have to tackle it full on sooner than later - it's fatal to rest on your laurels in this plumbing game.
