A tap flexi with a female fitting.
Now we know you shouldn’t go straight on to a ballofix.
But...
Seeing as the fitting has a rubber washer within, would a nut without an olive work?
I’ve never tried it but just wondering.

If you file the tapered face it’ll connect OK with the rubber washer, but don’t over-tighten it.

I've fitted loads straight on but, as Dick says, don't over tighten, go hand tight, then quarter turn with spanner, turn on check for leaks, go a bit more if need be, there is a point you will reach which will tell you if its not going to seal, if that happens, undo, ptfe and redo,  |

If you cut into the rubber washer, put a 1/2” boiler iso valve washer in front of the rubber one.

I got my info from the King of Handymen.
If I was going to do it again I think for peace of mind I'd use those flat adapters but so far I've got away with filing flat and hand-tight plus a quarter.
