So probably like most of you i sometimes attach a hosepipe to copper and use a jubilee clip, this is when draining heating systems or flushing them through, so usually max 1.5 bar most of the time But i've never put a hosepipe & jubilee on to cold mains. I'm guessing it would be fine, or does it depend on the quality of the jubilee clip? I've got an open vented system and the rads cold do with some water blasting through them so i am going to get them into the garden. There's a 15mm iso valve in the downstairs bathroom that i can attatch my hose and jubilee clip to. It's not likely to pop off is it?

As you say normally not an issue if you use a quality Jubille clip and a 7mm socket - my preferred option is double eared clips. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mikalor-Double-Ear-Clamps-O-Clips-Water-Fuel-Air-Hose-Assortment-Box-x-155/302532183663?hash=item467052c66f:g:XIcAAOSws2RcUwhK

I always have a bit of trouble getting the hose to seal. I go onto the usual CH drain-offs that look like spouts and then tighten a clip around. Always get quite a bit of water but its in the garage so never really spent any time sorting it. Could it be my J clips are crap ?

I find proper drain down hoses work much better too.
