jigsaw everytime with wood blades, drill the corners with a 20mm spade bit to get the blade started, acircular saw will rip the laminate to fuck,

Thats the way i normally do it, use a jigsaw but heard somewhere that some use a circular saw (Screwfix forum) i think, only asking as iam shit with a jigsaw Looks like ive been down the pub and got three parts pissed

that's typical fron screwfix forum, they had a bloke on there saying you don't need inserts in plastic pipe, We have the best joiner in the world on this forum, he'll put you right when he comes on, you might have the wrong blade in,

Not that it matters for worktop under the lip of the sink but when cutting laminated stuff (worktop melamine etc) with a jigsaw if you use a downward cutting blade (teeth face down not up) you will get less chipping of the laminate, Just go slow and take your time and you'll get a good straight cut hope thats of help to someone
