With a customer Today fitting a new basin mixer Tap ...........At the end of the job Customer says while your here can you just clean out my Magnaclean as its not been done for 5 Years I said Yes,,,,,,,,,,, but I did warn her that they are prone to leaking after you move / turn off the 2-off valve she said OK,,,,,,,,, First sprayed with WD40 left for short while then just eased the valves closed a bit stiff,,,,,,,,,did the job then reassembled the unit then opened the 2-off valves Guest What the Bottom valve is now dripping slowly ,,,,,,,,,# So my question is are the valves repairable or can I just by 2-off valves or do i have to buy the whole Magnaclean again ??

Worth having a really good look at that big cover nut that's on the top of the magnaclean Astra. It's often leaking from this running down and making it appear as though it's leaking from the bottom of the magnaclean.
I've often unscrewed the top off it again then took off the ring and dried it all off then applied some silicon grease to the O ring and tightened it all back up with great success.

Hi guy's Tom is right on this occasion it is the actual valves that are leaking ,,,,,,,,Just one actually the bottom one WHAT A BEEstard
but did warn the custard before i turned them ,,,,,,,,,,I actually tried just putting PTF wrapping around where there was a slight gap
between the black nut and the valve but to no avail ,,,,,,,,,,the customer is just going to monitor it ,,,,,,,,,just to see if we get lucky
and seals itself ,,,,,,,,,bet i don't get that lucky .........
Only thing is I think the actual Magnaclean is 1-off the first Generation ones not sure if I can just change the valves,,,,, probably
need to change the whole thing ,,,,,,,,,but will have to wait and see if I get a call back................
Many thanks for all your help Guy's...................
