I’ve been to a lady whose water was red hot from unvented.
The thermostat wasn’t clicking when I turned the dial up or down. I pushed the reset button & it now clicks.
I set the thermostat at 45° but the water is still really hot.
Can you keep your hand under water at 45° or is that still pretty hot
Maybe my hands are those of a child!!!
Cheers all

45 degree is OK for domestic HW rocky. Is the HW heat source the Immersion heater? Looks like the cut-out did it's job if it is! However, I do suspect the thermostat is at fault. If the domestic hot water has got to almost boiling point the temperature relief valve should also start to discharge on the unvented cylinder.

About 18 months old the install. I’ll pop back tomorrow. Cheers

I’m with you CF👍👍 Rocky dear boy, get yourself down to a Supermarket, they sell Meat Thermostat probes £3-4. They’re designed for use in the Kitchen, so fairly robust.
