I was doing an internal ground floor leak though a ceiling above.
It was office toilet feeding into a internal soil stack and it was a twat - everything had been done with the best of gear and super strong job.
The culprit was a shrunken boss rubber insert for the 32 mm basin waste. Fixed the leak fixed then fitted back the boxing in - just got to go back and re-tile with the old tiles I’ve got soaking in water to remove the adhesive.

Sounds like a right bastard of a job that one battle! Multi skilled too, joinery/tiling

This week I got in my bath for a soak, I usually have a shower but, I needed some back relief, anyway the bath is creaking and I noticed the seal is broken, so my job was taking off the panel fixing the displaced leg and resealing the bath, While I'm doing that the phone rings, my brother in law wants some taps changing FFS,,,,,,I'm touching 70 years old, Endfeed this is what you are facing, enjoy your time off because it will not go away

Day 58 of my retirement and I've been very busy replacing some broken slabs at home today (I've managed to stay clear of the plumbing ones so far) not finished them yet either.

I’ve slung 2 Vaillant combis & associated pipework in Garages. Dropped two Baths & piped up. Completed two gas carcasses & connected to Meters, tested etc Water tested, Heat tested a New House.....Repaired numerous leaks the Apprentice fucked off & left!! I call the wee cunt ‘Minty’ as he’s always in After 8!!.......Or ‘DFS’ as he’s 0% interest for 4 years!!! I also Lagged his Garage Combi install, it was a shambles, more leaks than Cardiff Arms Park & a Home game!!
I also repaired a leak under a Sink in a Plot where the best looking MILF on the Site lives 😍😍😍😍 I said to her ‘You clearly don’t watch any Porn Films’. She said ‘why, what makes you say that’? I said ‘well, I’ve been here a fucking hour & I’m still fixing the fucking sink’!!
Have a good weekend everyone👍👍

Day 58 of my retirement and I've been very busy replacing some broken slabs at home today (I've managed to stay clear of the plumbing ones so far) not finished them yet either. I've got some slabs to do. Where you planning on getting your replacement from? 450mm x 450mm slabs I was after and they were very difficult to get old in the quantity of just half a dozen. An unlikely source really, a B&Q located upstairs in a Asda supermarket was were I eventually found some some over 15 miles away from where I live (dusty and they must have had them in stock for over 20 years)! Hoping to find the time this week to finish off (so busy).
