AJ, in 2014 My wife had a serious problem and was in hospital for quite a few weeks, They asked if i had a downstairs toilet because she would struggle getting upstairs, So i fitted a cheap macerator in the back of my shed, Its still working good so I bought a spare just in case that one failed, a good buy |

Tom does it get blocked? Can you use it for all toilet needs? How doo you wire it to electrics?

aj, its never been blocked or gone wrong in 8 years, All toilet wastes can go in, pee. poo and sick But don't let the girls flush the sanitary pads or babys nappies, wet wipes or ear buds, The rule is, HUMAN WASTE, TOILET PAPER AND NOTHING ELSE,
Its a simple live, neutral and earth terminal, you need a plug and a lenght of cable to take you to near socket.

Imo saniflo is original and best but by god avoid pumped waste if at all possible. Some plumbers won't go near them.
Can you not re-jig things to get the waste out under gravity?

I agree with you about gravity and 4 inch wastes are best but, In certain circumstances where a remote spot needs a toilet, don't close your mind to macerators and saniflo are the dearest, There are many copies doing the same job for a good deal less, I bought that cheapo in 2014, its served me well and was less than £100, at the time the cheapest saniflo was £350, I'm happy with my choice if it breaks down tomorrow I will fit my spare one and hope for another 5 years and still under saniflo's price, I never pay for labels,  |
