I would say that it will quickly block up that thin section of towel rail and a lot of the residues will just fall off it into the bottom of the towel rail when the device is withdrawn for cleaning. Remaining there forever if the whole towel rail is not taken off and flushed out afterwards. Some folks will buy it though, but to me it looks like another contender for the imaginary museum of seeming good ideas in plumbing!

Most of these Ladder Type Towel Rails are coated steel, so the chancer are the whole TR will become magnetic. So it’s possible it’ll gather a lot of shit & eventually block up. Not the easiest emitter to remove & flush out either!!

I think if it’s cleaned per year it’ll be on.
Certainly on new systems it’ll be ok
