I haven't seen that type but I'd guess the two parts sticking out of the headgear unscrew and then you'd lift that off and the shroud below would unscrew revealing the cartridge/washer part All probably as tight as can be after years and years. Hopefully it can be done, fixing is always more fun than throwing away/replacing.

As cinders said. They should just unscrew
While whoever is there the silicone needs urgent attention too.

It looks like those taps used to have 4 spindles but 2 have been removed from each tap because they're too close to the wall. Also looks like the answer is staring you in the face. Look where a spindle used to be, there's a grub screw.

thanks Joe but I think the member got the heads off, he was aking how to get at the gubbins, I suggested trying to turn the rounded bits anti clock with grips, he has't come back yet, hopefully we can sort this between us all,

A lot of these Taps are 1/4 turn ceramic disc Tom & the missing spindles would word of confirm that. As you know, 1/4 turn cartridges will unscrew as normal tap guts.

Our friend has now got the heads off and has asked me, What to do next, I've advised to turn off the water and Gentilly try to unscrew the round bit anti clockwise with a pair of grips, Can anyone add anything else ? Thank you,
