A customer has an old round top myson single radiator.
The vent in the rear won’t turn
He wants a new rad but doesn’t want floors up to adjust pipework
From the wall to the centre of valve hole is approximately 45mm.
The more modern rads won’t fit.
Does anyone have any ideas on where to buy?
I found one on plumb nation, 600x500 type 11 but no stock.
I don’t know any other way of doing it that’ll look decent.
Any thoughts please?
Cheers all

I'm assuming the pipes are copper so, is there room to slide an external spring on the copper pipe and tweek it to fit the new sizes ?

Indoors not the width of the pipes. It’s the location. From the wall. There’s no room to bend really
To be honest I think it’s floors up & repipe or walk away

I've just measured my (screw-fix) single panel kitchen radiator using the smallest bracket mounting option it roughly measures 43mm from the wall, so I don't it's far away from what you're after rocky. Looks the same style as JCs above

He prefers a new radiator I might buy bleed self tapper & test it on the old rad to give me some idea for the future. I’ll do a video if I do it
