Two separate jobs - been asked to fit a central heating filters to a system with a primatic cylinder. fully pumped open vented system what at do you advise for the best results not the cheapest the customer stated.  |

In my opinion battle they are a total waste of money, A gizmo can can easily be imitated by putting magnets on a small radiator and emptying that rad every year, But, people are convinced they work and if it makes you a few bob, whu not, I'd go for the spiro filter, its brass, the plastic ones are easy to cross thread and then its fucked, with the primatic I'd advice changing it to a normal cylinder because you can't put addatives in a primatic system, it will contaminate the domestic water, and the people who buy the filters will also like the addatives ( same mentality), If they think adding a filter will improve their heating then they will also think adding chemicals will greater improve it,  |

Evening PB - I think ther's a lot of merit in Tom's video and for my home I would be happy with a collection of magnets but the customer wants a filter because it's a primatic cylinder. |
