This is the only video I’ve found demonstrating this method of Tube bending;

Agreed - really nice methodical process.
Now my Dafty question is how does he know when he bent 90 (or a little more for the spring back) ? Do the better benders have some kind of mark or is he just eyeballing it ?

An on site plumber would not fuck about like that, it would cost too much and, he would not have a vice, He would do his bend at a rough guess making sure both straight lengths are too long and trim them down to the size required after bending, The offcuts go in the scrap bag ,

Tom of course is correct. No Vise, no Folding Ruler etc on site. Just your skill, a bending machine, pencil, tape measure, the floor & a bit of strap or tile batten. For measuring two 90° bends on a straight bit of tube, this method is fool proof. For Offsets it’s too long winded& slow, but it does work well.
If you like you can draw a Protractor on the floor, with just a small bit of tile batten, no need for a compass. This chap shows you how to draw all the angles👍

For a 90° bend Dafty, check it in a Door Frame, corner of a sheet of Ply Wood etc etc. For other angles, see my Asian friend’s video👍

And when someone else is paying for the copper, it's trial and error....

I don’t know if it was someone on this site couple of years ago, but it’s served me well 😄any mad bends,use a bit of solder to form shape ,then use that as template for bending copper . Simple is effective 👍
