I've got 3 semi-rigid/flexible condensate pipes which come from the new AC units. I'd like to be able to connect into the 40mm on the left. The compressor and the 3 pipes all come out about 2 metres to the left so ideally I think I'd want to run some fully rigid pipe (40mm ?) for two meters or so. Otherwise I'd need to clip up 3 flexible pipes and it would look shit I think. If this was inside I'd have a standpipe + trap and then poke the flexi pipes into it. (They are 16mm pipes.) But with it being outside I'm not sure what would be for the best. I'm also not sure about insulation - they produce a very small amount of water and most of their outside run is inside trunking. I'm thinking I shan't bother and if it becomes a problem come winter, I'll deal with it then.... Attachments:

I'm gonna check tomorrow to be 100% sure but I think the one on the right is the kitchen sink drain. I thought the one on the left is an older unused pipe but I opened the rodding eye and it was wet inside so not sure. Seems odd having two pipes there.

I’d deffo keep any condensation pipes internal if I could. Avoid freezing at all cost!! If there’s a Sink or Basin nearby run them to that waste pipe. Even a condensation Pump is worth it’s weight in Gold. But hey luv, I come from the frozen north.

Cheers Dick.
Out of interest how much condensate does an average boiler produce on an average winter day or hour ? I suppose its a bit like how long is a piece of string but some idea would be interesting.

Couple of litres per hour for a combi. For an ac unit on a hot humid day maybe a litre per hour at a guess.

There’s a lot of factors to determine that Dafty, if the boiler is running hot all the time, then Dew Point may not be reached many times in a Day. With the CH Flow temperature not above 50°C & the appliance Range Rated to suit the system, the boiler will produce lots of Condy.
