How do you make grey mortar?
Everything I’ve ever mixed is the sand colour.
I need a little grey for a couple of bricks.
Cheers all

I was shown this way of mixing mortar in a bucket by an old brickie many years ago and it stayed with me throughout my plumbing career. Apologies for the re-post of a poor quality video! I've always enjoyed mixing sand and cement this way, in fact I still find it quite therapeutic watching it!

For a bucket full of Mortar it’s always easier to add your combined Sand & Cement to the water in the bucket. Mixing with a shovel on a Spot Board, you add the water to the mix.
Same goes for Tape n Fill Plaster Board joints.

I couldn't remember if it was one that had been passed over to "toms tips" or not, however I found it again lurking amongst the oddities on the crowsfoot you tube channel.
