here is a part 1 and a part 2 ballvalve, Attachment Deletedthe part 2 valve has come out of this tank here, Attachment Deletedthe part 2 valve has to be used in a cold water storage because its impossible to get back syphonage with a part 2 valve, If you used a part one valve and a certain amount of circumstances came together, you could end up drinking the contents of the tank, or even the toilet cistern, smiley-confused002asak2

I've never really understood why new Part 1s are still available. I believe you can fit a part 1 in a tank if it's replacing an existing part 1, but why not just fit a part 2?

That Miele washer I fitted the other day came with the none return valve for the prevention of soiled washing water cross contaminating the mains - first time I've found one in the instal kit.
