I use copper 99% of the time and have never owned any plastic pipe cutters.
I know that you are not supposed to cut plastic with an hacksaw but it's not really worth me buying these cutters. I've cut plastic with a Stanley knife by pressing on really hard to get through it. What's the reason not to use an hacksaw?

I have a big set of Hilmor copper cutters that you just fit a plastic pipe cutting wheel on. It'll cut plastic pipe up to 68mm, so will do Rain Water pipes.

I have cut plastic with a hacksaw when I've been stuck, then take the burr off, never had a problem, Its in their interest to sell you a cutter because its money in their pocket, a cutter disfigures the pipe, so you need an insert to reshape it, So its a double whammy for them, sell them a cutter that crushes the pipe sell them an insert to reshape it ,,,£sssssss, business is business,, 6XqEngr88r5GlWolCJDi
