What a day. Long day. Did a bit, learned a bit. Enjoyed it but aching!! Too old for this!!! Well done rocky.  they are a piece of piss to install rocky its just a lot of people out there make out its a science, it ain't and anyone can do it,,,,even me . a days wage plus matts is what I'll lose if i don't go back plus it gives him the right to say i've not finished, So i'll go back and finish and bear the lose of half a box of white tiles and some timber, then give him an invoice for time and materials unpaid for and wish him luck in finding a plumber for any other works that he needs and remind him that none of my work will carry the usual 12 months warrantee, then draw a line under it and move on, some days you're the statue and somedays you're the pigeon, View AttachmentThis custard sounds a real horrible one. If you've got venting, pumping over, air locking type of problems these days you can just take out the expansion tank and replace it with a pressurised vessel, job done! Really it's made plumbing even more easier to do (not harder)! Then again, it's all about the £s. |

Ive seen that done on vented systems crowsfoot,, is it an easy processes or are there any pit falls to watch out for? Im like rocket always been scarmungered with unvented stuff! Im now reading what you guys are saying and im feeling more confident about them, getting ready to tackle the beast!!!  |

That's what it was on EF, a vented CH system that had been converted to pressurised using a 12L expansion vessel and a PRV kit.
I wouldn't have thought that you'd need your UV ticket to do this either, however, it shows how we as plumbers are now adapting and thinking up new ideas using this type of technology.

The unvented regs for cylinders doesn't apply to pressurized heating systems. I reckon if zippy and bungle worked with me for a day on an unvented cylinder they'd be able to do it lads, nowt to worry about. 1787034013 yippee |
