I believe thats a ventori testing valve endfeed, Its designed for the commisioning and measuring of the flow rate, whether you can turn it off there , I'm not sure,  |

Theres a full bore on the flow next to it and one on mains, got to remove pipe work to shower in the room ,no dead legs, hope it dont knock the balancing out to the rest of the building? Or am I panicking?

according to the other picture on the opposite page, there is a isolating ball valve incorperated, so you should be able to turn it off without upsetting the balance,

Yes that it tom nice one pal  what a clever piece of kit!!! When I attempted to turn it today I was worried I was gona fuck it up,but I can see it now it stops you loosing the balance, every days a school day... |

Its the hot water for a care centre ona secondary circuit pumped, with a flow and return back to cylinder in plantroom .all the out lets are balanced just the same as rads. These valves that balance the water outlets are usually throttled down on a lockshild, and you count the turns but these new ones dont loose the balance. Very clever... |
