You're well organised EF . Fixed flue kit or extendable? I bet a magna clean kits also fell off that same van too ! I've just got the basic Drayton room stat (hard wired) controlling mine. I have bought the Baxi time clock for it, but didn't fit it at the time of installation and guess what.........I've still not got round to it. ! Tappy

I,ve only ever fit them if asked by the custerd for one,,IMHO they are a rip off, a gizmo, I've been fiting boilers since the seventies, no one did them then, so why now ?? 6XqEngr88r5GlWolCJDi

Mine was buck she and a slightly second hand one that I... err I acquired I have cleaned it out numerous times and did get quite a lot of dirt and bits out of it at first, but not so much now. Another plumber (works for the same firm) fitted his ideal without one and had to get the ideal guy out to fit a new heat exchanger within 14 months of the boiler being fitted (it's a regular fault with ideals he told him). However, I when had a job to renew a magna clean at a property he asked me to save him the old one for his own house! When I get the chance I'll make a video "Tappy empties his magna clean" and we'll see what comes out of it. (Not be for a week or so though).

On the combi's I work on with a Magnaclean and inhibitor fitted I find there spotless with the occasional bit muck so if it was my install I would fit one.

Can you move your own gas meter? Its on a metal flexi so technically im only moving the bracket and lifting the meter whilst it still attached? Its hard to read understairs move it 300mm and read it perfectly.... or is it a no,no?

You can move it as long as you don't extend or alter the any of the pipework/regulator/safety valve from the incoming gas main, So that limits you, but turning is allowed , The gas shut off valve, governer, flexi pipe and meter and fixing plate, all belong to the gas board, everything else is yours,

no mate, the closer the better because of pipework, the less pipework and bends will deliver the most gas ,
