Are you thinking fixed end to male fitting as male fitting will turn ๐ To allow correct alignment its normally best practice that the last item tightend is the swivel nut. Thus allowing a hose to be tangle free and fixed pipe work stress free.

Mind I've been fixing a industrial Kew pressure washer today and using that Loctite 55 (which Dick Plumber highly rates) and found that first class for pipework as well.

Hi enfeed the bit coming out of the hob needs to go the the upstanding side of the elbow in your picture, it mates up to the flange on the hob side, there should be a washer in the pack to seal it using paste will do no harm as well, You'll need a 1/2" MI X 15mm copper in the other side to take you to copper which you can reduce to 10mm if need be, I think thats the same as battle says too,

The side of elbow that that is upright in picture that has nut for a spanner, let's call that side A. The other side with no nut, bottom side of picture let's call that side B. not sure which your saying to fix to hob, A or B? Cheers tom๐ช

side A goes to the hob, it mates with that flange, and the washer will seal it,
