So who can find the cheapest smart internet programmer these nests and hives are bit ott and i now am having to accept that these fucking things are here to stay lost a few customers recently as i kinda gave them my opinion of them but now i just keep my opinion to myself and just fit them fitted 2 hives this week one took over an hour just to pair up then explain how it works to someone who thinks fkn brexit is a new breakfast cereal i now await a call back from her saying can you take it off the wall and put it on the other side of room grrrrrr . Basically trying to keep my costs down and offer cheaper versions which i know might be more hassle but just curious whats out there i only see salus versions as the cheap options there first version was very problematic but i see they have an updated one with jumpers etc so anyone know of other decent cheaper versions than mainstream ones ?

Yeah had look at them they can be linked to individual trvs recenlt watched a demo of there sales guy showing a customer how to fit them got good giggle out that how many weeping trvs have you repaired i can just imagine how costly thats gonna be when they weep into these fancy ones , but think there still bit pricey most custs ask for nest then hive mainly as there the one the big ad men are pushing so hoping to find something cheaper but decent than them

I'm glad I'm out of it, Its bad enough fitting them but paiing up,setting and explaining to a customer who thinks we know how they all work,,fuckin hate them, smiley-sad056 nay

I also installed Chinese weather monitoring station for £30 approximately and an (expensive cheap) one £200 approx for a chap into forecasting and he tells me both are excellent for his needs, but the £200 one is technologically out of this world with the I phone APP and live streaming is a must he tells me. Also Dick's cheap torch and Tom's lamp (both Chinese) are getting great reviews from those who bought them so may be you've just got to buy one and start trialling one - not to forget all these IPhones come from China etc. |

Then as in the past they'll master the art and that job will no longer becomes none productive one but a valuable form of there business income. The new breed of these smart stats (via wifi) talks to the weather App and knows by AI your preferred setting and with your location services, will have the house at your perfect temperature by the time your arrive home without any involvement by the user, at the most economical cost possible. |

Haha witches shit that is true it is i hate them but have lost couple good custs recently who went elsewhere after i kinda suggested just standard timer they all want them apart from elder generation but tbh the new regs coming into effect this year ( england only btw ) is another step too far and even when the elderly need boiler upgrade its gonna get more difficult to just keep it simple for them,
