Evening Dick - that price is for a none WIFI version - if you find one for that price I could use it for a tester as a sign of life remote alarm activation device. I think it’s WiFi connected B, but not an RF controller, but hard wired to the boiler. I think???!!!! Do you need a PIR sensor for an Alarm mate? No but certain circuits require an resistive value to for fill the alarm state if used with expansion boards etc.

yeah its been intersting to hear views on this i recently quoted for a new boiler and cust wanted a boiler with 10year warranty it was intersting to see that to fit the worcester they required you fitted there wave wifi timer and other sorts and the new vokera you were required to fit there new fango fuck wit stupid smart timer that is utter nonsense called a besmart , there they go again with smart, honestly this timer is a mind fuck , so i opted for the baxi that i wanted to fit anyway with just a bog standard mechanical clock so worcester and vokera lost out on that as there was no way in hell my cust would have been able to operate it

Not sure why but if hong kong phooey says not suitable for boilers there must be summin not right they would try sell sand to an arab haha.........(The electric heating thermostat can be controlled motorized ball valve, motorized valve, thermal valve, solenoid valve, heater, electric heating film, electric heating crystal and electric under-floor heating. Not suitable for Boiler, furnace, AC system and water floor hearing.) says henry the mild mannered janitor If the internal relay can take a 2000-3000watt UFH mat, I’m sure it’ll take a 6watt synchron zone valve motor J.

yeah true i gotta hand it to baxi i spoke to them on phone to find out if there was any additional criteria you know the sneaky shit in the t&c for 10year warrantie and none what so ever apart from usual fitted to spec , flushed etc whereas worcester and few others have sneaky moves for 10year warranties or extended i.e fit there timer fit there filters, and have to pay the extra few years etc etc

yeah am sure it would work but that little bit would nag me where it says not suitable for boilers mr ching chong has reservations haha

Always remember - if a inductive motor (zone or other wise) is invovled you'll have to have protection against EMFs generated, which produces high voltage spikes that will destroy semiconductors, within that circuit.

yeah but to get the 10 year warrantie you need to fit there timers if not for vokera without there timer 7yr warranty and worcester think it was 6 but i dunno what there doin now they are always changing but yeah you can fit the nest on them but that would be an extra £200 bucks

There’s no specific details of relay B or indeed specification for much on these controllers. Given the very nature of zone valve synchron motors & their short life, perhaps protecting these is not an issue? As for protecting the Chinky controler, I’d doubt there’s any kind of capacitor or anything ‘on-board’.
