I'm surprised at rothenberger for making that shite, they are a decent name. The guy in the vid says something like ' no you don't have to make the trip to the hardware store for a fitting, you can just make one' haha I bet this tool is about Ā£100, could buy a cracking fittings job lot for that Seen a lot of things lately that are a solution to problems that never existed, this is high up on the list. Also on the list is the fluxuator, that dragons den crap that uses flux refills at Ā£10 for about a spoonful and included a flux brush for when the fluxuator won't work

That is crazy bit of kit,I would begrudgingly accept one if it was free!! Wouldnt spend a fiver on it . Its like selling a tree to a joiner,āNo need to go buy wood from merchants, just keep hacking at this time saving trunkšā

It's all easy enough standing in front of a vice showing the world how great their kit is, why do they never demonstrate it being used lying on their back in a attic or under a floor where it would be used in real life, all Rothenberger have done here is re-invented the plumbers bentbolt for forming a tee.

Iād love to get my hands on an old bentbolt mate, drill a 8mm hole in 28mm tube, anneal it & form a 15mm branch.

There doesn't seem to be much of a lip for the solder. Wondering how strong the joint will be. Useless on pipes with any water in - how do you get the water out without cutting the pipe?
Ā£550 buys a van full of fittings.

Hello All. I've been reading the forums for a while and want to add my 10 cents to this silly gizmo. Also want to say thanks for the advice I gave been soaking up so far. My thoughts: we all know burrs and restrictions should be avoided. Why would we add them to the system using this tool when our tee pieces have nice smooth internals and also depth stops. Crazy.

Even back then we all questioned the validity of doing it.
