The leaky job went ok. Chipped out old pipe & glued new in with fittings. Now there’s a blockage!! Going tomorrow to access the main shared stack & rod it. There looks like an access panel on it with 4 bolts, hopefully the rod will bend enough to get into the flat pipe Fingers crossed Cheers for the chat Tom

which side is the basin on rocky, left or right ?? As you look at the pic it’s on the right, it goes behind the basin/toilet vanity unit & then into the shared stack located in the hallway cupboard. I reckon from that 50mm tee it’s another 3-5ft to the stack so not far. The 50mm pipe has no play whatsoever, no movement. My plan is to undo the nuts on the stack panel & try to rid it from there. Failing a good result I’ll either walk away or take the basin/toilet out but I’m doing nowt for free. Any thoughts about my plan?

The blockage must be in the 50mm waste. Must be. I’ve got a snake but I don’t want to cut in the 50mm waste as getting a couple on to fix it will be difficult. That why I think try to go in from the soil stack first.

if the basin is on the right then that tee is the wrong way round, it also looks to have backfall, thats why its shooting up the bath, It a can of worms Rocky get the money he owes you and get the fuck out, smiley-sad056 nay

I’m sure the tees right, it bends to the right where the basin is, if it was the other way the sink/washing machine would divert up the bath waste.
I’ve not seen the tee where the basin connects as it’s behind the vanity unit.

He’s paid me for today. So again that’s good.
If anyone had told me before I glued the tee fittings I could’ve poked & snaked the 50mm pipe from the tee.
I’ll visit one last time to snake/prod & poke from the stack.
If nothing I’m out.
How do ceramic basins stand up to boiling water being poured down their waste? I’m thinking maybe it’s food build up. I had a blocked kitchen sink once that we discussed & last chance coral I boiled a kettle & poured the water down & it cleared it. I might try that as well.

which ever way you go about it Rocky, its gonna be messy, smelly and awkward, but if he's willing to pay, It might win you some brownie points for other work,as we say up north, where there's muck, theres brass,
