I'm amazed at the shite that plumbers carry in their van. Some seem to be suckers for any new tools that come out - like fookin magpies, they gotta have the shiny stuff. Case in point is PB Plumber on Youtube (not this PB) who makes some good day in the life plumbing vids. Way he's going on, he'll need an artic to carry all the kit he's got. He's got more tools on board than a Snap On truck. Any money he makes must go on more stuff.

That Flue Shoe, what the fuck???!!! By the time I’d find it in the van, get it in & set up - you’d have the fucking flue fitted!! Though I’m mainly fitting Ideal Logics, I do fit the cheapo Vokera Easiheat & they’re a plastic flue!! It’s literally a 10minute job to fit the flue.
Fucking waste of money these tools, if you call them tools?

www.youtube.com/user/ImSanderCohen/videos?disable_polymer=1 I've watched a couple of his videos, the one where he cut the pipe below the stop tap caught my eye first, he was using a new tool on that and fecked up where he was cutting cos he was more concerned with his £200 Milwaukee auto pipe cutter than getting the cut in the right place and proper flooded the house. All the gear - no idea comes to mind He's got 3-4 sets of kit for removing taps, and I mean sets - in boxes, wtf? he's got a £40 nut spinner set for monoblocs and a £140 nerrad set for backnuts ? I've got a monobloc set and a backnut spanner that have never let me down and cost about a tenner all in, I've got a couple of long arms for hard to reach too so maybe about £40 all in. Not calling the guy, I like his vids that I've watched so far (not as much as Toms mind), but he does like his tools a bit too much.

He probably gets them for free to advertise them, maybe? He will do if he gets enough subscribers, but don't think he will yet with 5k, that plumberparts chap definitely gets freebies but he has 90k subscribers and has had over a million views - makes good money off youtube ads too. The plumberparts chap is definitely a social media whore, pb plumber is more of a real plumber filming as he works, like Tom but not as handsome

Yes, agree with the comments above. Not knocking PB Plumber, he's obviously a decent bloke and hard worker. Trouble with all this kit is unless you're using it regularly, it's dead money sitting in the van waiting to be nicked. I always try to travel as light as I can, mainly because tool bags overflowing with kit has to be carried in, then back out of the job. Working in a flat 5 floors up last week, no lift, needed to carry lots of stuff to do the job - and bloody hot. Was sweating after the first trip up the stairs to the flat. At least I didn't have to go into loft on that one.
Either that, or I'm getting too bloody old for this game.
Also , used to enjoy Plumberparts' videos, but now they're barely watchable. Bit like the difference between old Top Gear and the new. PP has gone too showbiz, and sold out to the big companies that sponsor him. Can't blame him, but he has to get more and more extreme to attract subs. Prefer the down to earth vids, like Tom's. It's hard work watching PP now.

Why Thank you kind Sir, When i first started youtube allowed a 10 minute video clip and i did't have any editing tools, So i tried to get my point over in one shoot and inside 10 mins, Now they've opened it up and the show boat, drama queens make videos last and last, When i'm watching a video for info, I want to get the info early on or i lose interest, So I'm thinking others feel that way too,Thats why I keep mine short and to the point,

get my point over in one shoot and inside 10 mins, Sounds like sex with the the Mrs.
Agree Tom. Depends on the type of vid. If it's a 'how to' video for something really simple, 10 mins or less is fine. But PB Plumbers 'day in the life' go on for up to half hour, which works really well on that type of thing. Another thing, because there's fook all on tv and I'm in for the night, I find I'm watching more and more Youtube vids. The longer ones are great for pulling up a cold one and relaxing.

He called me ‘dude’, to which I replied ‘WTF are you stuck in the 80’s, or something’!! After Tom’s & my own, I like PB’s he’s got all the gear, but does have an idea - I think he’s a good down to earth sort of guy👍

Something else that gets on my tits is the ‘Crimpers’. They use Press Fit fittings on copper tube & proudly show their installs on-line on FB pages, Forums etc.....Smashing, great, lovely, but you left your bending machine at home Dick head!! Why use copper tube you can bend & crimp on these fucking expensive fittings???!! Plumbing is a skilled trade & bending copper tube is a part of that skill FFS!!

Not all these 'gadgets' make it through to the sales counter, Some joker approached our research and development dept with a, central heating sludge reducer to take the place of our magnetic filter gadgets cleaners , his system simply was a magnet fixed on a radiator, It was called a 'tomoguard' tosser guard was a more appropriate word , It never got past receptionist,,What good is a gadget for 20 pence, We would't make any money on that ? smiley-sad027 skint
