I know this is probably a really daft idea, but if you really were that skint and wanted to get through a few weeks could you get some acrylic sheet or fibreglass or something and melt it on where the crack is? Don't they patch up boats somehow ?
Even if it was dooable I'm not suggesting for a second that a professional plumber would ever offer that but was just a thought that crossed my mind.

Easy repair Rocky. Take one asda bag for life (only 10p from Asda, or free if you use their self service checkouts and press the button that says you've brought your own bag). Half a tube of silicon from shitfix bargain basket. Silicon the bag to the bottom of the bath and hey presto. It wunna leak for at least a week.
