Can I please request the immediate banning of both Dollop & the Skipper please Tom?
They’ve been grossly disrespectful to my good self & as you know, I’m the most highly respected senior member on here, with knowledge & experience second to none.
With their immediate expulsion, it’ll put the matter to Bed & we’ll not say anything further on the matter.

you are indeed a senior and trusted member of the brewcabin, also a distinguished time served plumber, heating engineer and a pillar of society in the circles of Who's who in the Glasgow book of Haggis catchers, If I was to ban these lads who come here to learn how to do the job right, where would they go ? the guys at screwfux couldn't teach them because, they know nothing, the guys at donuts are all 19 year old wonderboys and the gas forums won't even open the door to them, No Dick, I can't ban lads who try, the brewcabin was built to help the underprivileged trades, It would be like a soup kitchen manager not serving anyone with beards,  |

I always thought that if you do it for free then it's not illegal to do your own gas work (although you wouldn't be able to register it on the internet). A bit of a minefield really init? I've given up gas work now (after a falling out with the gaffer over money), but I have installed many gas appliances over the last 40 years and to say that I'm now incompetent to do gas work because I no longer have a badge is just plain silly. However, I do have it on good authority that this whole pay money, pass exam, get badge,become competent, is being re-examined at an high level and will be changing again in the near future. In my opinion a certificate means nothing. Master craftsman don't need certificates, their work just oozes excellence. |

I'm in full agreement with you there Dick, Some of those other ' showmanship' plumbers spend far too much time trying to built soap opera type videos with catch phrases like ' hold tight' instead of getting down to the matter of information, We can say a chapter of words in a 5 second clip of how to remove a plastic test cap, you have there what I call a ' no bullshit instant info clip,' I bow to your powers of media prowess  |
