This a tool that surely you must use a lot but you'll only pay £2 for it ?
Saying that I got some in Lidl for about £2 a few months ago. Not very good.

They are certainly cheap, I do find that that style of pliers do slip/wear very easily.
I just did a search for the Neilson brand ones that tom bought (and me plus a few others) when the forum first started, but they seem to have all disappeared now from ebay.
£3.70 (ish) bargain (mines still going strong after a little brazing repair on them)!

I bought 2 and they are excellent for the money, just shows you can get quality for cheap, another example, the Titan drill/breaker/core drill, a boshe would cost £200 +, Titan £49.99

About a year ago I got some knippex pump pliers for about £25. All the rabble on donuts forum were raving about them. Maybe I got the size too small but I don't like 'em that much - too spindly and small and each time I pick them up I'm reminded how much I paid. This is what I got: www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0001D9JAI

I’ve about three sets of the 250mm & without question they’re the best Water Pump pliers👍 Eh, you do know what end goes on the fitting, it’s not the plastic bit, that’s the handle matey!! The Knipex Cobras are great value, the last 250mm ones I bought I paid £15. Ive bought the Lidl 2 quid ones in the past & they’re shite💩💩💩
