Attachment DeletedAttachment Deleted....Rush job, new tenant moving in tomorrow and I was told to remove all flexi's and a small dead leg under sink, no hot works aloud! saw a easy option chop dead leg slap a drain off on the end with a Tectight sprint, wham bam thank you mam!don't know why,but it started playing on my mind on the journal home, the drain off will slip out the fitting like chrome does! I've got a set of keys so I've went back tonight and switch mains off to flatπ I got the two fittings ,in photo, from van and pushed them home and pulled it out with ease! Did some research and these fittings need there own special drain cockππ I believe I was contacted from the plumgods today, looking out for meπππwill fit new drain off in morning before the new arrivals π isn't plumbing great πππππ

Why no hot works, though? it's a council building, they've gone daft about Flexi hoses, hot works on site, and you got to be a one legged lesbian to work on site too, woody πππ

I didn't realise this, so I've learn't something here.
Then again push fits are not something that I hardly ever use - perhaps it's a generation thing?
A younger plumber whom I was working with once asked me for some push-fits and after about 15 mins searching my van I scraped up 3 scruffy looking ones, I said "I never use them". When he got his van back he showed me 3 huge bags of 15mm tees, sockets and elbows all push fits. He gave me an handful to put on my van, however, I bet they're all still on my van when I retire - unused!
Tappy,

Why no hot works, though? Ruddy smoke alarms and sprinklers all over the place in these buildings. I can see the day when the poor plumber is happily soldering when all the alarms go off and the sprinklers then all automatically turn on flooding the building and causing ££££s of damage plus the fire engine turn's up flashing lights and all.....er "I know get me one of those push-fit's "

Yes, must be thousands of council buildings being burnt down by careless plumbers and their torches. Plus they're anti flexi but don't mind everything lashed up with push fit. Sounds about right!
