Afternoon all.
Have a whizz bang new fill and flush valve thingy-ma-bob to fit to our existing loo ... however the existing service valve on the inlet is a little pisssy and so of course should be replaced at the same time.
Trouble is the existing one is a full 70mm long. So any of the shorter ones (they all seem shorter) means a totally unneccessary rejig of the copper leading to it (& in an annoyingly awkward position of course). Anyone know if you can still get a 70mm one anywhere please?

Hi I snapped it on my phone but it won't let me upload as the image is too big. I'll see if I can knock down the resolution. But basically, I have one circa 70mm fitted on the existing fix but I can it get one circa 60m max.

yes its a service valve as opposed to a isolation valve, if you can't get the same size then you will have to adjust the pipework,,

I find if you crop the picture a little it loads up ok👍 What you can do:- If you email the high resolution photo to yourself you'll get the option to choose a size (normally) this saves cropping the image. You need an image of 1MB or less to attach it trouble free.

Thanks battle. Sadly I've seen that one and it looks too short also. The Q&A'a on it on the site also seem to say it's 57. something mm long ... so too shorty

Sadly, not. What you can't see out of shot (& without pissin about with loading ano) is that there isn't a fat lot of rising pipe out of the boxing in. About 20cm total, so even a flexi would have a heck of a kindink in it. From your comment, I assume 'they' don't do a shorter one than 30cm? The one on there is obviously not shiny & new and can seep when turning it on / off but until such time I can find a new, long enough one, it might have to stay there. It seems ridiculous to be pissin about with adding in circa 10mm of pipe at either end.🙁

Still struggling to resolve this little horror. As per flexi suggestion above, you can get a shorter (15cm) pipe it seems however, on the wider shot attached I have marked up the approx 15cm but without disturbing / redoing the boxing (seems daft): 1. it leaves a very small length of pipe out to do anything with. 2. not even sure it clears the bend of the pipe to get a good compression seal on the bottom nut (I get that you can have some slack / bend in the flexi itself but it will be in full view and, I suspect, won't look great). & 3. Any flexi I've ever used never seems to last anyway (are there sure-fire good ones that won't rust etc.?) Not sure I've got the soldering skills to pit in a piece circa 10mm at the bottom without again destroying the boxing. Is there any way of making up the difference at the top - maybe with plastic (JG Guest etc)? Even they are quite chunky joints and may exceed the required 10mm shortfall? Thanks for the 'email a photo to yourself tip btw Attachments:
