Great tip on the Washing Machine Tomššš Iāve always used a little squirt of Fairy on the Floor. However, thereās a distinct disadvantage of using my tip........Over do it & you can go into the Kitchen & the WM has done the Hokey Cokey into the middle of the Kitchen Floor!!!
Has there been any improvement in your Shower etc Tom??

That's another thing that I don't miss humping heavy washing machines in and out every time you turn the water off. My method would be to open the WM door and push with my right hand inside resting on the top whilst trying to walk it into place with my other hand.
I know that it's a lot of sprotling about but if you have a traditional 501 stop tap you might gain a little extra flow rate by swoping it for a full bore lever valve also eliminating the idea that a bit of debris could be stuck inside the mains/underneath side of the 501? just an idea!

Thanks Dick I already have a full flow valve fitted, One of my early remedy attempts, I'm happy now with the 14 Litre/min , The warrantee on that pump is 6 years so its not a bad buy and I think I'll get one for the garden, I have 3 - 40 gallon barrels that collect rain off the out building and that will do me lawns in times of drought, if we ever get one

I thought that it was quite a good jump up from the floor tom in the video! I can get down on the floor alright but then I have to look for something to put my hands on for a bit of support when I get back up! I think I started looking for a bit of a lever to help get up with when I was in my late 50s. One thing that I've noticed since I retired is that when I walk on uneven surfaces my knees no longer automatically adjust to the uneven surface and the leg travelling the longest distance comes down with a bump giving me a bit of a wobble as I walk!! When I was in my 30s a plumber who looked old was working for the same firm but he must've only been in his late 50s was always described by the tenants as "That old fella came and did it last"! I thought to myself "I hope I retire before I become known as "that old fella"!! I think that I just about made it !!

Yes Tappy I'm glad you were impressed because, I would normally look for something to pull myself up and if no one is about, I'll crawl to something no matter how far but, for the benefit of the camera I practiced that ' young mans' get up, quite a few times before filming it,

, for the benefit of the camera I practiced that ' young mans' get up, quite a few times before filming it, Ahh, practice makes perfect as they say Tom. A few weeks ago a chap was in my local and he drank ten pints of bitter in half an hour. He turned to the amazed onlookers and said ā Iāll give Ā£50 to any man that can do that.ā I said, give us half an hour and left the pub. Came back 35 minutes later, got ten pints lined up ont bar and sunk the lot in 25 minutes. He handed the Ā£50 over and asked me where I went before drinking the ten pints. I told him ā I didnāt know whether I could manage that amount of drink in half an hour, so went to the pub down the road to try it,,, did it then came back here. ā š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£š¤£
