A fellow I know bought a cheap static caravan and is putting it in a ' rented yard' as an office and it came with a hot water heater but it was stripped out so. he's asked me to reinstate it, It will be totally illegal anyway because, he has no permission to have it there and,I have no Gas registration and even my old gassafe account did not cover LPG but, to hell with it, I'm doing a ' Dafty project' and making a video nipping up tomorrow for a shufftie,,,,,

Well this job is a true bodgit and scarper, I've been down to look at it today, He got a static caravan cheap, £400 with it a hot water heater, fridge, fire and mattress's on the beds so, his plan is to rent from a privately owned a ' Pen' with no water or leccy and live there, He works on a building site so he has access to those 1.000 gallon water containers to he intends to put one at the side of the caravan and pump the water in, there is no drainage or sewage so he plans to dig a hole and put a septic tank in,For leccy he is going to have solar panels and a genny for ' back up' I've told him I'll do the plumbing purley because, The mans a raving looney and I think its gonna be an interesting video, to be continued

Thanks Dick, Today I looked at connecting the 1000 litre tank to the caravans plumbing but forgot my camera, anyrode I'm going back later as I'm going to pump it with one of these, untried before but its cheap it looks like a grundfos but a fraction of the price,

that pump arrived today and I fitted it, Its absolutely brilliant, there is very little head because the tank is on the floor but it works however, I advised the the guy to raise it and he did and after a long faffing about with the logistics, The outcome was outstanding, the pump works, the heater works and I'm going back tomorrow to finish off and make a video,

Looking forward to the video tom, sometimes I get the itch to do a little bit of easy plumbing. Then I take a look at this video which I made for exactly this purpose and think No, I'm glad I'm out!

yea Tappy that would put me off too but, I still enjoy the ' cut and thrust' of getting a situation that looks a challenge and winning, I'm at the stage now where this job is going to work, I've got everything working and under control and now needs tidying up, As you know, you can't take a video of every minute and this job is a ' make it up as you go' and yesterday the owner/occupier decided to move it, which caused a rethink, So its dragged on but, he's paying me for the adjustments so, I'm happy and he a great guy so we're having a laugh as we go,

It always happened late on-on a Friday, just when you really wanted an "on time" finish.
Because I was employed on contracted work any attempt to get out of it was always met with a standard "must be done" from the office.
Glad you are enjoying the job tom and it just shows you just what a crazy mix the world of plumbing can be.

phase 2 is, fitting that other pump to my home which is going to be interesting, My water pressure is shite, I'm getting the minimum requirement of 9 litres per min, the water board say they are not required to do anything about it because, all the appliances are working, They will come and fit a new supply but, I will have to pay and dig up my drive to do it, So this little baby might just save me a fortune, ,,,here's hoping,
