One for anyone using M10 threaded rod for brackets etc;
It gerenally comes in 1M lengths & needs to be cut in short pieces, so stick the threaded rod in your cordless drill, hold your hacksaw at the size you want & let the spinning rod cut on the blade. All you need to do is move the blade back & forward. A lot easier than clamping the rod & cutting it with the hacksaw.

You've bored a hole in a brick joint, but it's ended up a lot bigger than your biggest rawl/plastic plug & no way will it hold a screw. get a few bits of solder wire into the hole, hammer it into the hole until it fills the hole. Your screw will tighten into the solder & give you a good fixing.

This is one for cutting boiler flues or 110mm soil pipe; Use a big Jubilee Clip & clamp it round to mark for a square cut ( also, for cutting a boiler flue), then move the Jubilee Clip back a bit & tighten, this makes the flue more rigid for cutting the thin metal.

Another one for the humans amongst us - you know the people that make mistakes!!
There's a short cutting of ABS or MUPVC waste pipe in a fitting, you've cut it too short & glued it in, or it's old & too short. wouldn't it be great to get the fucker out & glue a new bit of pipe in?!! Well you can & here's how; cut the pipe close to the fitting, get a hole saw blade that'll fit inside the pipe(e.g.: 1 1/2" pipe use a 38mm hole saw), clamp the blade in your Mole Grips & heat it with your blowlamp. It doesn't need to be red hot or anything, you're just trying to soften the plastic. Hold the hot blade inside the waste pipe long enough until it's soft, poke in a screwdriver between the pipe & fitting, then work the cutting of pipe out with long-nose pliers. If you're quick enough you'll get it out in one go!!
There, that's another one from Sweetysockland for the Tomplum Production Film Studios.
