no endfeed, no black stuff just a slow drip, I just backed the nut off, held the pipe and cone against the valve to minimize the escape of water, wrapped a couple of turns of ptfe and tightened it back up, to be honest a simple nip up with a spanner would have done it, I was just making a show, the custerd always feels better about paying ya if they feel its something they could't do, Then give um a bit of banter about how the nut can split if you over tighten,
and everyones happy, they even gave my an extra fiver for coming out and a bottle of beer, smiley-eatdrink009drinking

Topman mrplum, I love the thought of being my own boss,nearly did about 2 year ago! I was on call doing bg home care callout and they took the piss big time and I walked out,
I bought myself a 1.3 suzuki carry van(still own it love it)and got buisiness cards made up,just about to have van signage done and phone rings. Inviting me for job interview with job im at now,which in fairness is good to me! Still think about it a lot,but I bet its not all beer and skittles with custerd being bastardos? If I get finished im gonna do it. smiley-chores017 chop

Thats what I did enfeed and never wished to work for anyone again, Its not 'pop and crisps' all the time, there are down sides like, there's no regular pay each week, and you can lose money and there's always cunts trying to get extra work for nothing but the freedom of working for who you like and when you like is priceless,  |

I pick & choose & if I don't like someone it's a goodbye from me. It can be lonely as well |

getting your name about is the key, get some pens made, those of mine cost 30p each, If you put 100 business cards in a shop, they'll still be there in 6 months, if you put 100 pens in a shop, they'll go in half an hour or less, that'll get your name round faster, Also If there are any local forums, join them and sure enough before too long someone will ask,,,Does anyone know a good plumber,,,Once you'd done a couple of jobs they'll post your name when some one else asks the same question, Get to know a few builders, they always need plumbers but don't let them take the piss, cos they do, price fair and tell them that that good price is for quick payment, Its like jumping in the deep end of a pool, you either swim or drown so don't burn your bridges, Perhaps your old boss can give you some jobs to price up, anyway good luck with that endfeed, |

80 mile round trip this morning to service an Ideal Logic combi. This is the fourth year I've done it between Xmas & Hogmanay.
Lovely people, cup of coffee & back along the M77.
Its a great time of year being PAYE, paid holidays & catching up on your own wee jobs.
