Great job. How much work was it to remove and refit? Did you have to cut the new one for size or cutout for sink? Any tips ? Tom didn't cut anything Dafty, solid granite that............. apparently

how will she know rocky ? all the edges are against walls, there's no reason to question it, she can't judge its weight by looking and she would not dare scratch it, Its a win win situation, she's got new tops and she thinks there are granite, and I've saved a fortune Jayzuss You’re going to be in deep shit if this doesn’t go your way Won’t she tell when she touches the worktop & it doesn’t feel cold like granite does? Your dicing with death. Good luck tonight Stay in touch Shite! Rocky's right, you'll have to say it's insulated granite......top of the range...stores the heat within itself.......

2 weeks down the line, there'll be something else, Let them think they have won, is the key to a long and happy semi jolly marriage, Any update Tom? Have you been rumbled or are you being heavily petted for a job well done? She's made up with the tops, does not suspect anything at all BUT, she's invited her mate round to look at them, her mate is ok but her husband is a fuckin know all, he'll be asking questions and maybe look underneath, That could spell trouble,

Cover the undersides in insulation tape. Tell him you have to seal it soon as it lets liquid and moisture seep in!!

Any tips ? yea Dafty I took the old one outside, I put the new top on two tressles, place the old one on top and used it as a template, marked the hole and bingo, The new one drops right in the same location, repipe the sink and all's good, the hard bit was following the ' this is a 2 man lift, do not lift on your own ' I had to ignore that instruction, otherwise all cool

she did make a remark about it being thinner than the one she looked at in the showroom, like a flash I said, " its like mars bars, phones, crisps, everything has got smaller but costs more money", she nodded and was happy with that answer,,,,,PHEW,,

Tom, you'll have to say that it was so expensive that you want to do all the cooking now, as precious stone like this reacts very badly to extreme heat and even splashes of hot water. Just a small price to pay to keep you safe...

yea good one cinders, I'm also prepared for when soft lad asks, " why's it not cold like other granite ",, " its heated granite, a small electrical wire runs through the top to keep the chill off so it does 't get that cold effect like the cheaper ones, "
