Should I use 1mm or 2mm spacers?
The tiles are 600x300 porcelain in grey & polished.
Cheers all

We do a lot of tiling 1mm gives no forgiveness with discrepancies in tile size and you will run into trouble .2 or 3mm will allow for this. If laying brick bond id always use a tile levelling system as well as tiles can have bows in them which will create lippage in brick bond esp in cheaper tiles or use 1/3 offset if using plank style tiles

I agree with Windy. I used the same tile size in my kitchen and was debating between 2mm and 3mm. I used a leveling system as well but it can't perform miracles and when I was done I was very glad I picked 3 as there is some lippage in places but if I'd gone for 2 it would have been really bad.
Maybe you got your floor flatter than mine and are more experienced. Its obvisouly fairly smooth from your self levelling but if you put a long level or baton with level on top right across the floor is it bang on level or a few millis out?
I wouldn't touch 1mm unless I was a pro tiler and really had the experience to know how it would turn out. But do prove us all wrong though!

No brick bond etc. I’ll use 2mm spacers I think then. I tried to post a pic of the tiles but it won’t upload. I’ll try again.

Check those tiles back to back .wickes tiles are notorious amongst tilers for being bowed or the cheap ones even being 2 or 3mm out .. we have refused to fitnthem for this reason. Please unbox them and check them before fitting.
Ps even pro tilers won't do 1mm on shed tiles as the quality is poor

I’ll just have to level it up with adhesive where needed.

What I meant about pro tilers is that they would know (as you do) about these Wickes tiles and they would know whether or not you could go down to 1mm and as you say in this case pretty unlikely. I might think twice about getting Wickes tiles but they are very cheap compared to the compeition.

Don't know about Wickes tiles, but don't use their paint and emulsion. It's shoite. Only thing I buy from Wickes are the rads as they're good quality for a good price with option of fitting one way up as round top or other way up with the grille kit.

I only use Dulux I used crown years ago & it was as thin as water. Terrible.

Seriously, its (obviously) not up to pro tiler standard but its good enough for my needs. I think I got them for about £17 psm including the 10% as they were on offer at the time - I'd need to check my emails. THinking about it I think mine are identical to yours! We've both got good taste.... Any pics of yours ? As for paint, I'll use any paint designed for pros who want to minimize the number of coats they put on. Currently using Leyland Trade. I wouldn't use Dulux regular and their trade range is quite expensive.

Always found their rads to be good quality and no problems with delivery. Quite well priced - unlike most of their other plumbing stuff, like fittings, etc.

The tiling looks good Dafty. I’m going with 2mm grout. I got a 2mm tile levelling pack.
Are your tiles the polished or Matt ones?
